The Emergency First Aid (EFA) course is a basic one day (8 hour) course that provides an overview of first aid skills for any environment and includes: Airway, Breathing & Circulation Emergencies, Respiratory & Cardiac Arrest and Wound Care. All Emergency First Aid courses include instruction on how to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AED's). 

The Standard First Aid (SFA) course is a comprehensive two day (16 hour) course offering the complete Emergency First Aid curriculum as well as Head & Spine Injuries, Bone, Muscle & Joint Injuries, Sudden Medical Emergencies, Environmental & Poison Emergencies. All First Aid courses include instruction on how to perform Cardiopulmonary Resusciation (CPR) and the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AED's).

The Childcare First Aid course is a comprehensive training course for individuals who need training for childcare or early childhood education work (nannies, teachers, daycare workers, group home care providers etc.) and those who simply want more knowledge to respond to infant and childhood injuries and/or emergencies.The course covers a variety of topics ranging from Airway Emergencies, Breathing & Circulation Emergencies, Respiratory & Cardiac Emergencies, Head & Spine Injuries, Wound Care, Sudden Medical Conditions, Environmental & Poisoning Emergencies, Childhood Illnesses and Child Safety. All First Aid courses include instruction on how to perform Cardiopulmonary Resusciation (CPR) and the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AED's).

Courses on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) provide the skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies as well as choking for adults, children, and babies. The course also provides basic training in Assisting with Medications, Angina & Heart Attack, Stroke and Deadly Bleeds. All CPR courses include training in the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). 

The Health Care Provider course is designed for those who require the SFA-CPR/AED Level HCP; Nurses, EMR's, EMT's Respiratory Therapists, for example. This comprehensive one day (8 hour) course is inclusive of the full SFA course, CPR & AED Level C training as well as advanced rescue breathing, 2 rescuer CPR and the use of the Bag Valve Mask

All Life Education courses are also offered as recertification courses. These courses are "refreshers" and are offered at a discounted price compared to a full or original EFA, SFA Childcare or CPR/AED courses. Participants are required to provide current Red Cross certification; Certifications are valid up to and including the expiry date on the Red Cross First Aid card.
