Paul and Merilyn are registered Advanced Care Paramedics in Alberta. With their experience in Emergency Medical Services (EMS), they are able to share their knowledge, experience and passion with course participants to ensure that students obtain the knowledge and practical skills necessary to act in the event of an emergency.
Paul Emmerson, ACP
Paul is a registered ACP (Advanced Care Paramedic) with Alberta Health Services. Paul's EMS career has been focused in the urban / metro environment providing quality care in the city of Calgary. Originally from England, Paul has a background with the British Military and has served in the armed forces overseas. Paul is also a proud husband and father of two young daughters.
Merilyn Laughlin, PCP
Merilyn is a registered PCP (Primary Care Paramedic) and has worked in both urban and rural settings. Merilyn has been instructing both First Aid and EMS courses for the past 12 years. Having recently moved to Lethbridge to be closer to her family, Merilyn leads the LifeEd courses in Lethbridge and area.
