Paul Emmerson, ACP
Paul is a registered ACP (Advanced Care Paramedic) with Alberta Health Services. Paul's EMS career has been focused in the urban / metro environment providing quality care in the city of Calgary. Originally from England, Paul has a background with the British Military and has served in the armed forces overseas. Paul is also a proud husband and father of two young daughters.
Paul is a registered Advanced Care Paramedics in Alberta. With experience in Emergency Medical Services (EMS), is able to share knowledge, experience and passion with course participants to ensure that students obtain the knowledge and practical skills necessary to act in the event of an emergency.
Christine Slater, PCP
Christine Slater has been a first aid instructor for the past 9 years, dedicated to helping others gain the skills and confidence to respond in emergencies. She believes that learning first aid, CPR, and how to use an AED is invaluable, not only for protecting friends and family but also as a meaningful way to give back to the community. Christine’s passion for first aid began after she was injured at a ski hill and became involved with the Ski Patrol. Through her experiences providing care and supporting others, her interest in emergency response continued to grow. That passion ultimately inspired a career change into paramedicine, where she continues to serve and educate others every day.

For nearly twenty years Christie has been involved in Human Services and served many roles within the disability services industry and educational sectors.
She is a proud wife, mother and Calgarian. As a mother of a medically complex child she understands the need for medical preparedness. Her professionalism and desire to ensure that those around her are equipped and educated to the best of their ability are her biggest asset.
